Being the world’s most isolated capital city doesn’t leave Perth short of attractions – far from it! On this 6 day itinerary, see the Pinnacle Desert, an alien landscape of limestone formations just two hours from the city. Return to Perth for a day of sightseeing, including a morning tour, Swan River cruise, and a visit to the beautiful neighbouring city of Fremantle, home to some of Australia’s most stunning, uncrowded beaches. Western Australia has also produced some of the country’s finest wines, many of them from the Margaret River region. Staying here overnight, you’ll experience a tasting, a guided tour of Mammoth Cave and a free flight display at the Eagle Raptor Centre.

Fremantle is one of the oldest settlements in Australia and has a sense of history with many well-preserved examples of colonial architecture including the Maritime Museum (1852) and the Fremantle Museum and Arts Centre, built by convicts as a lunatic asylum in the 1860s. It is gateway to Perth, capital city of Western Australia, located on the banks of the River Swan (10 miles) from its mouth. From Freemantle you can also visit the outback sites of the Pinnacles and Wave Rock
