Step into a storybook world where the wonders of ancient Egypt come to life. Wander through towering pyramids, puzzle over hieroglyphs in secret tombs, and cruise the Nile past temples rising from the riverbank. With expert guides at your side, Egypt’s legends unfold for curious minds of every age. But this journey isn’t just about what you see — it’s about what you share. Taste your way through a Cairo food tour, learn how local farmers are shaping the future, and sip mint tea in a Nubian home, swapping stories that span cultures and generations. From grand adventures to quiet, soul-stirring moments, this is Egypt — as experienced by families, together.

Accomodation
On this trip you can expect to stay in local hotels or pensions (with the exception of the start and finish hotels, which are often larger city hotels), which will vary a little in standard and facilities: some may not have elevators, air-conditioning or English-speaking staff, but most importantly all are in excellent central locations to give you maximum time for exploring the sights. You will also spend three nights on a Nile River Cruise with a spacious sundeck, delicious food options, and comfortable rooms designed for peace of mind with your family.
Group Leader
All National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures group trips are accompanied by two of our Expedition Leaders. The aim of the group leader is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. They will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. While not being guides in the traditional sense; you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting- we think it's the best of both worlds.
