Eastern Canada: Highlights of the Maritimes & Newfoundland
Get ready for one epic East Coast adventure through Canada’s most charming and rugged provinces. Start your journey in the Maritimes, where you’ll wander the historic streets of Halifax and Charlottetown, take in the jaw-dropping views of Cape Breton along the Cabot Trail, and walk the ocean floor at low tide at the iconic Hopewell Rocks. Explore the best of Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick — then fly to Newfoundland for round two of coastal magic. Hike through dramatic fjords in Gros Morne, visit puffin-covered cliffs on the Bonavista Peninsula, and stand atop Signal Hill with the sea stretching out below. From storybook fishing villages to wild, windswept trails, this trip has history, scenery, and salty air in all the right places.

Highlights
Hike and drive the scenic Cabot Trail through the dramatic coastal beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Cross the impressive 8-mile Confederation Bridge linking Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, Witness the ocean’s power as the beach transforms at low tide in Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, Climb Signal Hill for panoramic views over historic St. John’s harbour, Step back in time in Brigus and uncover its rich maritime heritage, Cruise the stunning landlocked fjord of Western Brook Pond for unforgettable views in Gros Morne National Park

Group Leader
This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). The CEO will be the group manager, leader and driver - this person is experienced in the routes travelled and will organize and lead the meal preparations and has experience in cooking a variety of local and international dishes for large groups. As the group coordinator and manager, the aim of the CEO is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. While not being guides in the traditional sense, you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. They will also offer suggestions for things to do and to see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.
